Quidah is an online platform that connects investors with curated opportunities and expert insights on Africa’s emerging markets, while offering businesses promotional services, partnership facilitation, and market intelligence to attract capital and grow their operations.
The second edition of the APRA Investment Forum 2025 will take place from 20 to 23 October 2025 in Freetown, Sierra Leone. Co-hosted by the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) and the Government of Sierra Leone, the event represents a unique platform designed to bridge African governments, private developers and financiers around the deployment of renewables, green industrialisation and inclusive energy access.
Participants will engage in pre-forum finance training sessions and project pitch days before the main two-day forum that includes ministerial panels, thematic dialogues and structured matchmaking between project proponents and funders. Sessions will focus on creating bankable pipelines, mobilising blended finance solutions and leveraging Africa’s critical minerals for renewable systems. Technical assistance clinics will run throughout the forum to support developers with readiness assessments and investment structuring.
The forum comes at a pivotal moment. Many African nations face urgent pressure to scale up energy access while aligning with global decarbonisation goals and green industrial policies. By concentrating on supply chain development, critical minerals and project facilitation, APRA signals that the investment opportunities lie not just in generation but in the full lifecycle of the energy transition—from mines and module manufacturing to grid integration and downstream uses.
Businesses and investors who engage at this forum can gain early access to forward-looking projects across APRA member countries such as Ethiopia, Kenya, Mozambique, Rwanda and Uganda. Partnering with national bodies or leveraging IRENA’s advisory services can accelerate entry into markets where regulatory frameworks are evolving and demand for embedded industry is rising. Investment opportunities include project development, engineering procurement and construction, critical-minerals logistics, green industrial off-take and financing platforms tailored to Africa’s context. Firms that align technical competence, local partnerships and sustainability credentials will be best positioned to capture value and scale.
