Quidah is an online platform that connects investors with curated opportunities and expert insights on Africa’s emerging markets, while offering businesses promotional services, partnership facilitation, and market intelligence to attract capital and grow their operations.
Mozambique has unveiled Portal Exporta, a pioneering digital export platform created by ExportaMoz to connect small and medium enterprises (SMEs) with global markets. The tool offers features such as an Exporter’s Guide with product-market databases, a network of specialist consultants, and a matchmaking interface matching Mozambican producers with international buyers. The platform also plans trade fairs and business meetings to foster direct interaction between exporters and importers.
ExportaMoz, founded in 2024, works in partnership with provincial governments across over 100 districts, collecting data on production, logistics, and investment potential. It integrates this into its Export Potential Program, which includes initiatives like the “Top 100 Exporting SMEs” competition and district rankings in sectors such as agribusiness, tourism, and logistics. Export path agreements are in motion with markets including China, India, Turkey, South Africa, Vietnam, Algeria, and Mayotte. Among key export projects underway are banana exports, cassava for ethanol production, and links to the Mpumalanga International Supply Market.
During the launch, BCI (Banco Comercial e de Investimentos) rolled out financial instruments tailored to support exports such as documentary remittance, letters of credit, and advance revenue financing. These tools aim to de-risk trade for SMEs that lack established relationships with foreign buyers or access to credit.
As Mozambique positions itself as a rising export hub, Portal Exporta offers strategic opportunity for investors. Service providers in market intelligence, logistics, export compliance, platform development, trade financing, packaging, and supply chain infrastructure can engage early in key value chain nodes. Firms that partner with ExportaMoz, government institutions, or SMEs and bring domain capacity may help scale exports and capture margins in both upstream and downstream export services.
In short Portal Exporta is more than a marketplace. It is Mozambique’s digital export engine. Investors ready to back transparency, trade facilitation, and local integration may find fertile ground in Mozambique’s journey toward global market presence.
